Nearby is Alpha Secondary School for grades 8-12 and is within walking distance to the school from most areas within Vancouver Heights. Just to be safe, we always recommend that you call ahead of time to make sure there is room for your children to attend the school in the year you plan to move.

If you like to get some fresh mountain air there are a couple of parks in the area where you can go for a nice walk with the dog or bring your children to play and get some healthy exercise outside. Montrose Park and Confederation Park are the two main parks within this area and both are absolutely wonderful with lots of things to do see and partake in.

Within the community borders there are lots of places to get your basic necessities and more on Hastings Street. Here you can find all sorts of small coffee shops, hair and nail salons, groceries stores pharmacies, sporting goods stores and even some delicious ice cream. One specific Restaurant we highly recommend is Anton’s Pasta Bar at 4260 E Hastings St Burnaby (604)299-6636. We recommend you get to this restaurant early as it is often seen to have a lineup down the street which can be hours long this place is so good. Not only is the food amazing here but you always leave with some left over food to feed you twice more. The atmosphere is great, the food is awesome and the service is top notch.
