Detached New Westminster house prices here start at around the high $500,000’s for an older home with 3 or 4 bedrooms. Homes in this price range will likely need some tender love and care. They may be a little outdated and will require some updating the drain tiles, electrical wiring and possibly some additional plumbing.

You can also rarely find some wonderfully kept heritage homes which have their own unique character. However these heritage homes in this area are little less common than other areas within New Westminster. Heritage homes within this area are priced at approximately $650 for ones which need some updating and over $1,000,000 for ones that have already been restored.

Within the last 20 years or so there have been some re-development of some the older more run down homes. Now you can find nice luxury modern homes under 20 years old between $900,000 and $1,500,000. Homes like these will commonly have nice modern floor plans, automated controls on things like blinds, doors,lights and heat. You will also find high end appliances like wolf, subzero, Viking and fivestar inside custom kitchens with granite countertops and backsplashes.

This area is located right next to the Canada Games Pool, JIBC, and other community centres. It is also a quick commute via the skytrain into downtown Vancouver and you can also take the Skytrain to Coquitlam, Surrey, Richmond or YVR airport. For those who have to commute for work there are quick accesses to major transportation routes both in and out of the city and you can typically in downtown Vancouver within 30-40 minutes.
